Architect Iain Halliday of Burley Katon Halliday, incorporated Fisher & Paykel appliances into the apartment of renowned caterer John Wilson, who chose Fisher & Paykel specifically for the innovative design and functionality of its products.
The space is used for corporate and private entertaining with the appliances integrated seamlessly into the cabinetry.
"Central to the concept is the idea of 'dining in the kitchen'. All activity pivots around a monolithic 'kitchen table' which is both eating surface and prep space," says Halliday.
"Because various functions are distributed in both the main space and adjacent 'butler's pantry' there was a need for a modular approach to appliances; whether for washing (DishDrawers) or refrigeration (CoolDrawers). These are each fully integrated giving focus to the pair of OB-76 ovens and Titan cooktop."
John Wilson says the Fisher & Paykel appliances give him the flexibility and performance he demands.
"With the press of a button I can turn a CoolDrawer into a freezer for storing desserts prior to serving," he says.
